Mint Cart Drawer opens a clean, accessible cart drawer when shoppers add to cart, shows how close they are to free shipping or a reward, and lets them add a recommended product in one tap. If anything goes wrong, your theme's own cart takes over.
Everything a cart drawer should do
Switch on the app embed in your theme editor, then design the drawer with a live preview.
Add to cart, the cart icon and other apps that open the cart all open the drawer instead of your theme's cart drawer or the cart page. Quantities, remove, line item properties and subscription names, all from Shopify's cart.
Your theme still adds to cart and shows its own errors where it can. If the drawer can't load or the add fails, your theme's own cart takes over, and checkout is always one click away. Buy it now buttons are never touched.

Questions merchants ask
Which themes does it work with?
It's tested with the real JavaScript of Horizon (cart drawer and cart page settings) and Dawn (drawer, popup notification and cart page settings): adding from product pages and quick add, quantity changes, removing items, the cart count in the header and checkout. On other themes it opens from product forms and cart links; if a theme has its own cart button the drawer doesn't recognise, you can point the drawer at it in the theme editor.
What happens if something goes wrong?
The drawer only takes over once its script has loaded and checked the page. If it can't load, an add to cart fails, or the drawer runs into an error, your theme's own cart behaviour is used for the rest of the visit, so shoppers can always reach checkout.
How are rewards applied?
Mint Cart Drawer creates one automatic discount in your store, run by a Shopify Function. It checks the cart at checkout: items before discounts, without free gifts. The drawer uses the same rules to show progress, so what shoppers see matches what they get. You choose which other discounts it combines with.
How do free gifts work?
When a shopper reaches the goal, the gift is added to the cart and the discount makes it free. It's only kept if the cart shows it free, and it's removed again if the cart drops below the goal — a shopper is never charged for a gift. Shoppers who remove it get an Add button instead.
Does it change my cart page?
No. The cart page stays your theme's, and the drawer has a View cart link to it.
Is it in my shoppers' language?
Built-in texts come in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. Texts you write yourself are shown as you wrote them.
Will it leave code in my theme?
No. It's a theme app extension: switch the app embed on or off in your theme editor. Nothing is written into your theme files, and uninstalling removes it.
