Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Cart Drawer ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

The service

The app shows a cart drawer in your online store through a theme app extension (an app embed you switch on in your theme editor), with a free-shipping progress bar and, on Pro, rewards, add-ons and analytics. On Pro it creates one automatic discount in your store, run by the app's Shopify Function, that applies the rewards you set at checkout. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.

Your store and your discounts

You are responsible for your prices, shipping rates, taxes, the rewards you offer and how they combine with your other discounts. The free-shipping bar shows progress towards the amount you enter; unless you choose to let the app give free shipping, the free shipping itself comes from your own shipping settings. Free gifts are added to carts only while the cart shows them free, and removed when the goal is no longer reached. The drawer works alongside your theme and falls back to your theme's cart when it can't load; Buy it now buttons and your cart page are not changed.

Billing

Plans are billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can cancel at any time by changing plans or uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.

Data processing addendum

When the app processes personal data of your customers on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:

  • process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
  • process only the minimum data needed: we store no customer data. The shopper's cart stays in Shopify; with Pro analytics we receive paid orders' IDs and line items only (no customer fields), keep daily totals and keep order IDs for 30 days;
  • never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
  • encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
  • use Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
  • delete all shop data after uninstall (shop redaction), and delete access tokens as soon as the app is uninstalled;
  • help you respond to data subject requests (we hold no customer data; listed order IDs are reported or deleted on request) and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.

Changes

We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
